Summary
The Director, Rebate Management is responsible for the leadership and oversight of WellDyne's rebate operations, rebate financial performance, and regulatory compliance activities. This role ensures accurate rebate administration, client rebate management, financial reporting, and compliance with applicable contractual and regulatory requirements. The Director partners closely with internal stakeholders to maximize rebate value, drive operational excellence, and support organizational objectives. This position reports to the Vice President, Supply Chain.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead all rebate operations, rebate financial management, client rebate administration, and rebate reporting activities.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize rebate value, profitability, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee rebate forecasting, financial analysis, accrual support, and reporting to ensure accurate financial performance measurement and support Finance and Accounting decision-making.
  • Ensure accurate calculation, reporting, and distribution of rebate payments in accordance with client contractual obligations.
  • Direct the preparation, review, and submission of all required federal, state, client, and regulatory rebate reporting while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and contractual requirements.
  • Provide strategic leadership regarding rebate client contracting, formulary opportunities, rebate program design, and regulatory developments impacting rebate performance.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance to review and develop rebate-related contract language, ensuring operational feasibility and mitigation of organizational risk.
  • Partner with Sales, Pricing, Client Audit, and Client Services to support client presentations and reporting, RFP responses, pricing analyses, client audits, and client retention initiatives.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the rebate management team while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide executive leadership with strategic recommendations regarding rebate performance, growth opportunities, industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Healthcare Administration, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in PBM rebates, pharmaceutical contracting, healthcare finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting sales processes, client relationship management, rebate operations, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with rebate financial modeling, regulatory compliance, and manufacturer contracting preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of PBM rebate operations, manufacturer rebate programs, rebate contracting, and rebate economics.
  • Understanding of federal and state rebate-related reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional financial, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive operational excellence.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel and data analysis tools.
 
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some travel may be required.
