Summary
The Manager of Clinical Programs will be responsible for the clinical oversight of key clinical programs and metrics and will partner to run pilots and deploy new initiatives. This teammate will be a leader, innovator, and collaborate with several teams across the company. This position focuses on clinical operational execution, metrics and outcomes to deliver successes for Clients and patients enrolled in the WellManaged portfolio. Core activities include piloting new clinician roles and responsibilities, developing new clinical interventions with our clinical team, and management processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Owns outcomes, development, piloting and deployment of new clinical programs
  • Identifying gaps in change management, roles, workflow, and systems needed to achieve the WM/Clinical Programs short and long term goals
  • Prepare and present materials for meetings with Clients, Client Services and Clinical Operations Leadership Team, as required and as requested
  • Oversees WellManaged/Clinical Programs Team to ensure training and processes are appropriate and being followed
  • Assists in the development of instructional material for use in diabetes educational programs (includes objectives, content, editing, design, printing and distribution)
  • Creates and follows specific curriculum developed for diabetes/other education
  • Creates clinical coverage guidelines for diabetic/other medications
  • Coordinates and assists with inter-departmental training and development
  • Answers drug information questions as requested
  • Works closely with client team, providers, pharmacies, and members to resolve any questions or issues involving diabetes care
  • Support and maintain program operational metrics and outcomes reporting
  • Consistently meets established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards, while maintaining a good attendance record
  • Respects and maintains confidentiality guidelines of HIPAA
  • Follows and aids in enforcement of all company policies and procedures
  • Provides periodic consultation with practitioners in the field
  • Consults with account management team to provide clinical and benefit design recommendations

Education and Experience
  • Valid pharmacist license in the state in which the employee resides, in good standing
  • Six years minimum as a practicing allied healthcare provider with direct patient care
  • PBM, healthcare, pharmaceutical experience preferred
  • Leadership and operational experience
  • Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES) required
  • Working knowledge of American Diabetes Association (ADA)
  • Ability to become licensed in multiple states, as required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have advanced attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, patiently, and courteously
  • Ability to handle multiple activities or interruptions at once
  • Focused team player who can work in conjunction with pharmacist, other departments, customers, and management
  • Work independently with little supervision to meet daily deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some travel may be required.
