Summary:
The Strategy & Operations Associate plays a key role in supporting organizational initiatives aimed at improving operational performance, driving strategic decision-making, and enhancing cross-functional effectiveness. This role supports strategic planning, operational analysis, process improvement, and execution of high impact projects across pharmacy operations, supply chain, quality, and PBM functions.

Participants in this SkillBridge program will gain hands-on experience through structured training, real-world project assignments, and exposure to core business operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operational & Strategic Support
  • Analyze operational performance data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support development and execution of cross-functional initiatives in pharmacy operations, supply chain, PBM operations, and quality teams.
  • Participate in strategic planning cycles by gathering data, preparing insights, and supporting scenario analyses.
Process Improvement
  • Apply structured problem-solving methods and process optimization frameworks learned during training.
  • Assist in mapping workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and developing recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Support implementation of new processes, tracking results and measuring success.
Project Execution
  • Contribute to active projects by preparing deliverables, participating in meetings, and collaborating with cross-functional partners.
  • Ensure project milestones are met and deliverables align with defined objectives and quality standards.
  • Assist teams with documentation, reporting, and presentation of findings.
Training & Learning Application
  • Participate in SkillBridge curriculum, including company orientation, operational onboarding, strategic thinking modules, and on-the-job training.
  • Apply learned concepts to real work assignments, demonstrating continuous growth in operational and strategic capabilities.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (business, engineering, analytics, healthcare, or related fields).
  • Military experience highly valued—SkillBridge participants encouraged.
  • Prior exposure to operations, project management, or analytical tasks is a plus.
  • No prior pharmacy/PBM experience required; all relevant industry concepts are taught in the training program.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and propose actionable recommendations.
  • Ability to learn complex processes and systems quickly.
  • Strong communication skills—comfortable presenting findings and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Working knowledge or interest in operations, supply chain, quality, or healthcare processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Intellectual curiosity, initiative, and willingness to take ownership of work.
  • Comfort navigating fast-paced environments and ambiguity.
 
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some travel may be required.
